To help some younger readers with their Book token spending, myself and 17 other UKYA book bloggers have all decided to share our Top 5 Childhood Reads for World Book Day. So let’s start this blog-hop of worthy recommendations. Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket Everyone…

    February Wrap Up

February has been a lot of beginnings. This blog, Never Enough Novels was started this month and I also unwillingly started my book buying ban. I began Never Enough Novels to share my love of books and what I was reading with a wider audience, rather than just bugging my boyfriend. Hopefully in the coming months, I’ll tackle my TBR during my Book buying ban and be able to Buy all the things at YALC, I honestly can’t wait! I’m writing myself a to-buy list ready for July. I just can’t help myself. This month saw me logging on to twitter more regularly as well and joining in with the…

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

It’s January so that means we have a whole year of new releases ahead of us, yay ! One new release that I have been really really looking forward to comes out this month, and it just so happens to be the sequel today’s Book Review – The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. With that release so close, I knew I just had to re-read where the story begins, so let’s get going with: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. “Because you’re like a story that hasn’t happened yet. Because I want to see what you will do. I want to be part of the unfolding of the tale.” Holly…

    Book Buying Ban: Beginnings

After chatting with my better half, Ant yesterday, I’ve decided to take drastic action. I’m putting myself on a Book Buying Ban for 5 months! Shock, horror!!! For any bookworm, those words are enough to send them into the foetal position.  But some sort of context is probably needed as well. YALC Noob I’m off to YALC this year! I’ve never been before, this will be my first year of attending and I’m super excited. But I know, for a fact, I’ll end up spending way too much money on books, adding them to my never ending TBR pile. With that in mind, I’ve decided to tackle my current To…

    King of Scars: Book Review

King of Scars has been one of my most anticipated reads for 2019, to the point that I even bought 2 copies, the standard edition and the fancy pants Illumicrate edition. I honestly couldn’t tell you how excited I was to receive my copy and read it, kid in a candy shop does not even cover it. The Monster is me, and I am the Monster. King of Scars is the first book in Leigh Bardugo’s new duology set in the Grishaverse. The same universe that Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom and the original Grisha trilogy takes place in. If you haven’t read them, I recommend reading the other Grisha…

    January Book Haul

New Year= New books. Thats how it works right? I’ve had a fairly big book haul this month. I’ve bought a lot more books than I usually do, but what can I say I like books. I’m not going to apoligise for it! Given that I’ve only bought 16 books this month, isn’t massive compared to other books bloggers and vloggers. But I have a lot of juggling in my life and I’m trying not to overload my To Be Read pile. Although I’ve definitely considerable added to the never ending TBR list. You can watch my Book Haul video by scrolling down, or you can read the blurbs below.…

FairyLoot Subscription box – January Unboxing

Okay, so we all know by now I fricking love a subscription box,  I honestly can’t get enough of them. Over the years I’ve tried a lot: art & craft boxes; kawaii boxes and the like. The first box I receive have usually been okay, but nothing amazing or special. Generally I end up cancelling them soon after because the price point never seems great for the contents. This month I decided to test out a Book subscription box. As you can probably guess from my previous posts, I love love love a good fantasy book, especially YA fantasy. So the natural choice for my next subscription box was the…

You may remember me mentioning an author called Sarah J Maas previously in my Top 5 YA Fantasy series to escape reality post, well she’s got another fantastic series for you to explore: Throne of Glass. I’m currently on Empire of Storms, Book Six of the series and I love it. I’m actually re-reading the series in preparation for the final book release tomorrow, and I honestly can’t wait to finish it.
